Winter is coming to an end and Spring is about to…spring!
Time to get out of the house and explore the world of consignment furniture! We are lucky to have so many beautiful windows that light up the store and it is filled with amazing new-to-you items that change daily!
Stop by and visit and be sure to think of us when you are ready to let go of your excellent condition furniture and decor from all eras!
Be sure to visit our facebook or instagram page to see our posts about some of our latest editions.
Hoping your 2023 is off to a good start and we look forward to having a great year with all of you!
We are extremely excited to be hosting Foxy Den starting this weekend!
They will have their own full-time section of the shop that will be filled with gorgeous, dreamy, modern-vintage, professionally curated items that will be available for purchase 6 days a week in-store or online 24/7!
Women in business are changing things up! Instead of asking for help like we all had to do during the first part of the pandemic, we’re taking things into our own hands and helping each other!
Stop and check out a whole new section of even more inventory to choose from!
Happy holidays everyone from Elvis and all of us here at Hoot-n-Annie Home!
We will be open tomorrow, 12/24 for your last minute gift giving from 12pm to 4pm. Take a walk through the shop and find something that just sings to you and reminds you of the person you are shopping for. Every thing has a someone, come find their thing!
We will be closed to spend time with family and friends from 12/25 through 12/27 but will see you on Tuesday, 12/28.
Have a very special holiday surrounded with light and love!
We will be CLOSED today to celebrate the Mother’s in our lives. My husband and kids are pretty darn good at spoiling me. Wishing the same for all you Mamas out there! Enjoy your day!
We cannot thank everyone enough for the wonderful support we have received since reopening! The love for small business in Portland is so strong and we can really feel it!
We are plugging along as best we can and are so impressed with how well people are adhering to safety procedures and intentional shopping and enthusiastic browsing! If we could ask for anything from our customers right now it would simply be that you share your experience at our store with others. Word of mouth is a powerful thing. And it is so easy! Tell a family member, a friend, co-worker or neighbor about us. Mention a great conversation with a staff member or the owner. Talk about something fun you saw on your last visit, something nostalgic or something rare or unusual. Those few sentences have a huge impact on a small business especially during these times!
So pop in, check us out and let everyone know what it was like! That is the greatest gift you can give to a local business! We thank you and we look forward to the opportunity to see you again!
We’re excited to announce that we will have a soft reopening starting tomorrow, May 21st. We will have limited hours and have a 4 person maximum for in-store shopping. We’ve worked hard to plan and implement safe practices.
We all know that this is a two way street. We will be wearing masks, enforcing a hand sanitizing station at entrance, maintaining a maximum of 4 customers at a time, sanitizing and disinfecting high traffic areas regularly and welcoming you with smiling eyes in order to protect you. In order to protect us, we request that if you are ill or have been around someone that is to please stay home. If you’re doing great then we welcome you in and ask that you also wear a mask, utilize the hand sanitizer station upon entrance, maintain 6 feet from other shoppers and staff when possible and follow the marked flow of traffic in and out of the store.
We can’t wait for the day when we can welcome you in with no major regulations. And smile with our mouth instead of just our eyes! We will be OPEN Tuesdays/Thursdays + Saturdays from 12-4 for shopping and by appointment ONLY for consignment. Slow and steady wins the race. Let’s do this safe and let’s do this right!
We are still doing our part to keep everyone safe and healthy. Our doors remain closed but our hearts are open! Hoping you are all doing well and hanging in there. We miss the shop and all your smiling faces terribly. But Oregon has been doing a great job of staying inside and keeping our numbers as low as we can. I know we are all getting stir crazy and we are fighting every urge to run out and get back to the way things were but let’s stay vigilant. All for one and one for all! We got this!
Together we will get through this! Looking forward to the day we get to announce that we are reopening! Take care everyone!
It is with a very heavy heart that we come to you with a very difficult decision. We can not argue with the notion that we must do what we can to reduce risk for the greater good. Safety first. Our store is so special to us but it is a non-essential retail business and although it sustains the livelihood of several employees and myself, the risk is too great.
We will be closing temporarily for 1 week while we assess our communities future and will decide next weekend whether to open or remain closed based on what is best for flattening the curve. We will post opportunities to support our business and potential online purchase for delayed pickup through out the week.
To our consignors: your consignment periods will be extended and no items will expire during this closure. Your funds do not expire and we will take care of all your needs and questions as soon as we can.
We will continue to keep you posted with any updates. Please take care, take caution and stay healthy. Follow us on instagram at https://www.instagram.com/hootnanniehome
We are constantly learning something new everyday with this wonderful store! Seeing all the different items come in allows us to become sponges with all the available info at our finger tips. I have always loved glass and these beauties are all so different. Found a quick and easy resource for all the different styles to help date them and eventually price them. Thought we would pass it along! https://www.wikihow.com/Date-Old-Ball-Mason-Jars
The colors are splendid and they make the prettiest decoration for your home in many different rooms! Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, laundry room, living room! Filled or empty they are truly gems! Come check out our selection or bring in yours to consign! And help us continue to learn and bring our game up!
We want to know what YOU want! Particularly when it comes to getting out and doing something here in your community! We have become a great gathering space and want to host more monthly events. So far, we have an open-mic reading series called Welcome Home that we host on the 1st Wednesday of every month. Along with that we would like to add a monthly music night and potentially a craft night too!
For the music event, we want to host a different jazz duo or trio each month. It would be compiled with well known local musicians and our very own general manager as the host! We hope to have it run from 7-9 with music from the band for the first hour and possibly an open-mic the second half.
As for the craft night, we’d love to host a social and inclusive knit/crochet/create event where you can gather with your neighbors in a cozy space, work on your current projects and strike up conversations that will most undoubtedly be supportive, therapeutic and inspirational! We love the idea of getting our community together!
All these events will be free to attend!
Would that be something you are interested in? Are their certain nights of the week that are best? Is there something else that would be of value to you? We would love to hear from you! Share your thoughts and suggestions and tell us what YOU want via email a .
